I think there were nearly a dozen region crossings over corners on this tour. These are more problematic than regular region crossings. Regular region crossings got better after we moved Second Life into the cloud with a faster, modern network setup. I discovered a few things about these literal "corner cases" that I'll put into Jira for the simulator devs. Corner region crossings involve two region crossings in rapid succession. The problem appears to be one of the vehicle crossing from A to B to C while the avatars that were attached haven't finished the transition from A to B. Avatars arrive in B, but the vehicle isn't there any longer to impart the movement that carries them into C, and the vehicle also isn't there to inform the viewer where the avatar should be rendered. That's why you briefly appear underground when the vehicle gets lost. A bandaid fix may be flagging the vehicle to remain ineligible for region crossing if it arrives in a region before linked avatars arrive. If it reaches a second border, perhaps it could be locked in place with physics and scripts suspended for a short while. Or maybe my conjecture is wrong? We'll find out!

@soft It works surprisingly well for a lot of people, but it is susceptible to alignment issues if a user changes their Field of View (Ctrl+8/9/0) or uses a TPV with a different default FoV. It would be great if we could get jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-231… to remove this assumption!

The HUD AR feature that tells you what to interact with is cool. It takes some difficult math to make this work well.
