Kwele Werte, namathari kulyowirira.
We know. I am Arrente and I want to explain this to you in english, so you understand better. I am Utnenge arnpenheme of kwartatuma, Mwpartwe.
Her name was Sharon Granites and she was a sky child of the seven sisters. The word kwementyaye or kumanjayi is a mark of respect for those that have the first same name and the last.
Example.
In July 2009, five young white men in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia, killed 33-year-old Aboriginal man Kwementyaye Ryder (also referred to as Donny Ryder). There are many of my cousins named Donald or Donny Ryder. It's respect to him that is no longer here.
Walpiri Spiritual belief along with our own. Saying the deceased person's name or constantly showing their image/voice will fracture the frequency or disturb the call back on her spirit during the mourning period. We have always believed this could interfere with the spirit's safe passage to the afterlife or cause harm to the living. This is the way of the Altjira and is our lore.
This is respect and mourning or our Sorry Business. This allows the particular mob name and skin clan time and is part of proper grieving . The avoidance shows respect for the family and the deceased. The length of the restriction varies, from weeks or months for some, up to years for elders or important community members, and is always decided by the family or community.
Now please let the skin clan heal and let the little lthane walk amongst those that await the sky child by the great river in Mount Solitaire. Uulijirumara ane Kunjilli twi.ira, Aherre, Tinka, Perentie, Adnoartina. I speak for Ru, Ulu ane Yulara. The three wives of the Altjira.
Kwementyaye lthane jirra.
Kele.

Watching some infants play today, I couldn't stop thinking about Sharon Granites, the five-year-old girl murdered in Alice Springs.
There is every reason to believe that the little girl was sexually assaulted before she was murdered. There are a number of hints of this in media reports and police announcements, although clearly, the criminal investigation and coronial inquiry will confirm the circumstances around her death. I am overwhelmed thinking about how much she suffered in her short life.
Warlpiri custom is not to name her during the mourning period - hence her generic no-name of Kumanjayi Little Baby. But I am not Warlpiri and that mourning period can be indefinite and I've seen how much damage that can do to surviving family too.
I refuse to let her name be forgotten. Sure there will be some flurry of news reports about the arrest and trial of her murderer. But we must all refuse to let the news cycle move on without confronting the very circumstances that left her so vulnerable, no matter how painful or offensive it may be to some. No Australian child and their family should ever live in such squalor, around so much alcohol, and around so many irresponsible or high risk adults. No Australian child should ever live without hope.
From all accounts Sharon spoke very little and trusted much. Now she cannot speak for herself at all. Say her name. Be her voice.

Should kids be living in conditions like this or should they be removed? Should anyone be living in conditions such as this? Or am I being 'culturally disrespectful' again?

Alice Springs Supermarket Hit Hard
Whilst the chaos was unfolding down the road at the hospital and service station a supermarket was hit hard.
Pigglys supermarket was broken into and a large amount of alcohol was stolen
The rear door was smashed .
25 to 30 people were running into the store through the smashed back door.
They were running in and out with arms full of alcohol
The owners arrived but police and security could not attend due to what was going on at hospital .
They had to secure with pallets and forklift to stop them getting in.
And as they were doing this they were still trying to get in throwing cans etc
A very scary night for these businesses owners
The bottle shops are closed today but there is plenty on the streets

Hi, so the woman who carried and gave birth to me was 13 years old, celebrated her 14th birthday only days before I was born. I should’ve been aborted. It’s really terrible that she was made to carry and birth a baby while she was a child herself.
Am I happy to be alive? Yes. Absolutely. Very happy to be here. Would I be mad had I been aborted? No, I wouldn’t exist, I wouldn’t feel anything. I shouldn’t exist. She was a child. The lives of girls/women are more valuable than fetuses.

Everyone who supports abortion how would you feel if you were aborted ? Babies Lives Matter

At a dinner in the White House, Charles III told Donald Trump: “I’ve noticed your changes to the East Wing. I must say, we Brits also, in our own modest way, tried to renovate the White House back in 1814.”
I didn’t know that myself, but looked it up — in 1814, the British burned the White House.
The king also gave Trump a bell from a decommissioned British submarine named “Trump”: “Ring it if you ever need us.”
And this one:
“You recently remarked, Mr. President, that if it weren’t for the United States, European countries would be speaking German. Allow me to say that if it weren’t for us, you would be speaking French.”
But the king didn’t just joke — he also reminded Trump about support for Ukraine and the role of NATO.
Overall, Charles devoted his entire speech to subtly trolling Trump — in a very British way, so refined that it went right over the heads of MAGA supporters. They even applauded him for it!
A British king and an American jester — that says it all.
I love British humor!
