I don't buy the logic some people are pushing: "Look how much it rained. Isn't it natural that things would collapse?" No. Let's stop blaming nature for failures that are, in many cases, man-made. Before any major infrastructure project is approved, governments spend significant public money on feasibility studies, geological surveys, hydrological assessments, and engineering reports. These are meant to evaluate risks, including extreme weather and natural disasters, and recommend measures to withstand them. Only after a project is considered technically and economically feasible is it supposed to receive approval, at least on paper. We live in an era of advanced engineering, predictive modelling, and sophisticated construction technology. If infrastructure still fails under conditions that should have been anticipated during planning and design, then the response shouldn't be, "It rained too much." The response should be: What went wrong? Was there a design flaw, poor execution, inadequate maintenance, or a failure in oversight? Rain is not an excuse for avoidable failures. Accountability is. Nature should not become the convenient scapegoat for mistakes that should never have occurred in the first place.

This crater on the Kalyan road that leads to Vani Vidyalaya school from the highway has been in existence since almost 5 months. Finally today when it’s raining heavily the @KDMCOfficial got time to fill it.

@airtelindia facing internet issues for 45 days still no resolution. The toll free num is useless. Raised tickets regarding the issue and the ticket is closed without consultation and without technician visit. Shit service by @airtelindia
