THURSDAY: Join nail salon workers and allies to rally for the Nail Salon Minimum Standards Council Act! NY's nail salon industry is broken. Instead if of trying to fix it piece by piece, let's build a new foundation that centers the real experts in the industry - workers!

In Basnet's ideal nail salon workers: ➡️earn at least min wage ➡️get paid sick leave & holidays ➡️use products w/ fewer toxins “If we were to have all these at the min, it will help all the workers be healthy. But in the current nail salon, these haven’t been implemented yet.”

Since our bill was intro'ed in Jan, nail techs have taken to the streets & bravely shared their experiences w/ the public & legislators to lay the groundwork for systemic change in the industry. Today, let's celebrate Senators who are standing with us - we're ready for 2023!
