Both are good players, no doubt. Osimhen is a beast, strong, fast, wins headers like a monster, scores goals in bunches. The guy has power, he can scare defenders with his runs behind. In a team that plays more direct sometimes, or needs a target man to bully centre-backs, yeah, he can do damage. But… (pauses, shakes head) does he really fit Barcelona? Come on. This is Barça. We play football with brains, with technique, with movement that opens spaces for everyone. Osimhen is explosive, sure, but I’ve watched him, he misses big chances when the game gets tight, his first touch isn’t always clean in small spaces, and his link-up play? It’s okay, but not special. He can look a bit isolated when the team is building patiently. And let’s not forget, at times he seems to force things too much. I’m not sure he’s the natural fit. It feels a bit like buying a Ferrari to drive in the city centre, powerful, but maybe too much for the narrow streets. For me, Julián Álvarez fits that DNA more naturally. He doesn’t just run behind — he drops, links, presses, rotates. He plays like he’s been in that system for years. Barcelona need a striker who can be part of the orchestra, not just the one finishing the song. Osimhen is more… explosive, more individual in his movements. Álvarez is collective. He gives you angles, he gives you connections, he gives you intelligence between the lines. And at Barcelona, if you don’t think the game at that level, you struggle — I’ve seen it.
