@LUFCHistory Shocking decision. Having seen several pro-Mackem decisions this season I suspect the Premier League is determined to (a) ensure the side promoted via the play-off finished highest of the 3 who came up and (b) ensure the Mackems stay above Newcastle.

I’m so close to giving up on modern day football after last night. The opposition blatantly cheating, players constantly going to ground and time wasting, VAR is not fit for purpose, constant fouls going unpunished. Football is not enjoyable anymore The game is dying!

Elland Road seething with Sunderland goalkeeper Melker Ellborg going down, off the ball, for treatment, while the rest of his team goes to Le Bris for a team talk. We've been here before. #lufc

I’m genuinely torn between whether or not that was a tactical masterclass from Regis Le Bris and Sunderland or a genuine crime against football. They will argue that the ends justified the means. Either way this time wasting nonsense needs stamping out. It’s killing the game

FT #LUFC 0 Sunderland 1 Football as a spectacle is dead unless the officials get a grip on the game. What an awful embarrassment that was, terrible football from Sunderland, constant diving, time-wasting, faking an injury to have a team talk, Regis constantly yapping at the 4th official. This is Bielsa’s nightmare, so far removed from the level of football we know is possible. Sunderland have absolutely no shame. But, ultimately, Leeds have never done it the easy way and will need to wise up. They looked like they lacked energy after two huge and emotionally draining games in a matter of days against two teams who had to employ every dark art known to man to scrape a result. This has to provoke a reaction from this group. And I expect it to and I fully expect Leeds to come out swinging in their remaining games.

@ElliottSAFC @BradleyDSharp11 For their offside goal, he creamed his pants over the cross and finish, then muttered quickly that Rodon had "just" started his run too early - mate IT WAS A YARD OFFSIDE, get over it

It’s mental how fans have different views on a referee. He was abysmal and gave Leeds almost everything. But all I see is Leeds lot saying the ref gave them nowt. It’s a funny old game.

@twill_94 Rumour has it Beckford is still crying right now, lol what a prick, doesn't he know as a "pundit" he's meant to give a balanced view on the game, he couldn't have been more biased towards Leeds if he tried

@twill_94 Mate, apart from the o9 incident in first half, he gave us nothing at all, seriously, what else are you referring to? Every minor coming together, he gave to Leeds

@henryswainjourn Beckford and McManaman were absolutely disgraceful with their so called "punditry" - yes, we won ugly tonight, but they couldn't even bring themselves to admit our penalty was justified, like it actually pained them, Beckfords bias was painfully embarrassing...
