Wafer is now available as a provider option for select open models, including GLM-5.1, Qwen3.5-397B-A17B, Qwen3.6-35B-A3B, and Kimi-K2.6. @wafer_ai is fully ZDR via NanoGPT and focuses on very fast open-model inference. You can route supported models through it by appending :wafer to the model name in the API.

After install, you can use it for text-only local chat, conversation titles, quick replies, Global Memory analysis, and local Auto model routing classification, all free of charge with inference done on your own device. Provider routing preferences are now available in Settings and per conversation for eligible pay-as-you-go models. Choose Auto, Fastest response, Highest throughput, Lowest latency, or Lowest price globally, then override that choice for an individual conversation without changing your default.

OpenAI Flex and Priority service tiers are now available for supported OpenAI models, including GPT-5.5. Use Flex for lower-cost requests when latency is less important, or Priority for higher-priority processing when you need it. In the API, set service_tier to "flex" or "priority" on supported models.

NanoGPT now supports personally identifiable information (PII) redaction. When enabled, supported PII such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, and similar fields are replaced with aliases before the request is sent to the model provider. Alias are restored in the final answer, so the response still makes sense to you while the provider never receives the PII. This also applies redaction rules for supported secret-like values such as API keys, webhooks, and tokens. These are replaced with labels like [OPENAI_PROJECT_KEY], [STRIPE_KEY], or [SLACK_WEBHOOK] and stay redacted. This is powered by Grepture in zero-data mode. Content is processed in-flight and kept in memory only; request/response bodies, headers, URLs, query parameters etc are not persisted in any way. Grepture runs on EU infrastructure and its gateway is open source. Turn it on in the API or website by appending :redaction to a model name, passing redaction: true, or enabling it globally in Privacy settings. Pricing is just $0.0005 per redacted request.
