The selective and discriminatory application of the law in Kenya is too horrid and ugly to ignore. Two weeks ago Nairobi MCA Robert Alai was involved in a fracas in Cedars Restaurant along Lenan Road. Its alleged that he drew a gun threatening to shot incoming Nairobi Governor Hon Babu Owino. Infact, Alai was disarmed by a police officer. We haven't heard a word on any new development on matter. I hear the police were told by someone in the Office of the President not to touch Alai because "his tweets on X and his blogs are useful to the broad based government". Yesterday, I read about two Turkish businessmen involved in some fracas with an ODM politician in Kilifi. The Turkish businessmen were arrested on the spot and charged with terrorism finances(soo convenient to get this charges off the shelf when it involves muslims). I want the Inspector General of police and the Hon @ODPP_KE Mr. Benson Igonga to explain to Kenyans the policy divergence of the two cases. Why was Robert Alai not arrested and charged like the Turkish Nationals? Imagine if a small poor man from Rural Kano plains can go scotfree when he breaks the law? Who can touch the mighty and powerful in Kenya? Isn't it very obvious why the 4 dollar billionaires are still free and thriving? Remember this is the same country H.E UHURU, 5 years ago said "loses Kshs 2 billion daily to government officials". Kenya has A LAW AND ORDER PROBLEM!

I am deeply saddened by the passing of my friend, former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo. Jirongo was a relentless go-getter, a seasoned businessman, and a consummate politician who refused to be defined, let alone defeated, by life’s challenges. He was a fighter in every sense: blunt yet warm, bold yet approachable, enlightened and endlessly entrepreneurial. Above all, he was generous to a fault; always willing to give, to uplift, and to back others with his time, resources, and belief. Never one to shrink from a tough stand or a grand idea, he lived on his own terms and left an indelible mark on our political landscape. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time. Rest in peace, my friend.
