@NaomiTarry I Like to treat positive and negatives as a bank account. Good days you bank in the black and negatives as red , amazing you’ll be in the black at the end of the day/week/year so happy happy happy !

Our brains have evolved to focus on negatives, to avoid things that might harm us. But too much focusing on negatives can leave us stuck. If we reframe negative thoughts, we’re more likely to feel happier & in control of our lives. What could go right for you today?😊

What lovely meaning behind this necklace: “This sign of gratitude is a Tibetan symbol meaning thankfulness. It reminds us to focus on what is present rather than think what is lacking in our lives. It helps us to notice the simple pleasures in our lives and count our blessings.”

The human ability to challenge our thoughts is like a superpower, it can change our mood and also our actions and behaviours. The good news is that it can be learnt and nurtured. It’s something that I often teach my coaching clients, particularly when thoughts hold them back 😊

I love baby steps. Many of us put off making moves towards our goals because we feel the steps have to be big, dramatic steps, but have you noticed how big steps produce bigger worries and fears that can stop us completely in our tracks? Think baby steps today. 😊

My coaching sessions are much more than talking and setting goals, in each one we work through an exercise that teaches something, and I have a particularly powerful session on finding out what sparks a light in you. It’s a joy to help people find their light!

Have you ever looked back on a tough time and thought this? Personal growth can be uncomfortable and downright unpleasant at times. It’s only when you look back that you can see the bigger brighter picture!

Sometimes our ambitions are so big they seem impossible & that leads to us putting them off. If we can break them down & focus on taking baby steps, one at a time, we make progress. Think like a baby taking it’s first steps, concentrate on putting one foot in front of the other.

How much time do we spend worrying about what others think of us? In CBT it’s called mind-reading. Often our mind reading is totally dodgy, based on our own worries, yet we change our actions based on it. Try to notice next time you are mind reading, simply be aware of it.

Comfort zones are just that - comfortable compared to the alternative. Following your dreams can be very uncomfortable as you head out into the unknown. It’s risky and the outcomes aren’t fully known...unlike in our comfort zones. It’s one reason so many of us get stuck there.

I coach many talented people who are help back by lack of self belief. We’re often our worst critics. In my coaching sessions I sometimes do exercises to strengthen Self Compassion instead of self-criticism, and it’s amazing the difference it makes!

How many of us put pressure on ourselves to do things perfectly? For some it leads to overworking, whilst for others it can lead to procrastination as we put off doing things that we don’t think we’ll do well. Make a start, and just do what you can, without any judgment. 😊

We all see things from a slightly different perspective, and being mindfully aware of this can help communication with others. What are you bringing your unique perspective to, today?
