An important day in Scotland and for families who have experienced a loss under 24 weeks. As from today, families can register their little ones name in the Memorial Book of Pregnancy and Baby Loss Prior to 24 Weeks which is held by the National Records of Scotland.

We recognise the time and effort it takes to be a student midwife, often at the sacrifice of other areas of our lives. We’re glad that our place within the workforce is recognised and valued as both learners and colleagues.

Today we celebrate our fellow students (and future midwives!) for their dedication, talent, willingness to learn and care that they show women and birthing people every day. 💜

We had a brilliant evening taking part in the @NapierMidSoc webinar last night addressing the issues of #communication and #inclusivelanguage in #maternity care. As a qualified Lipspeaker, BSL Interpreter, Nurse and Midwife, our very own director, Lesley, providing expert insight into the importance of removing barriers and providing appropriate support. It’s vital that we support the next generations of #Midwives to understand how they can improve deaf access and ensure that deaf & deafblind people receive an inclusive and culturally respectful level of care with communication access that’s right for them. #CommunicationAccess #DeafAwareness #DeafParents
