This video is going around of a high school wrestling match that happened yesterday. One player showed clear poor sportsmanship… followed immediately by a pretty blatant cheap shot in response.
Did the bad behavior ‘earn’ it? Or is a cheap shot never justified no matter what? Team Blue, Team Orange, or are both punks?
Sports need passion but where’s the line? Thoughts? 👀

@MustangMan_TX Yes. She's attractive. Not a fan of her music, but she is definitely pretty.

Ferrari has just officially unveiled its first ever all-electric car, called the Ferrari Luce.
• Starting price: $640,000
• Interior co-designed with Apple's former head of design, Jony Ive
• Range: 280 miles (expected EPA)
• Peak charging speed: 350kW
• 122 kWh battery
• 1,050 horsepower
• 0-60mph: 2.4s
• 800v
• Four-door four-seater
• Four electric motors
• OLED screens
• Weight: 4,982 lbs
• Front motors spin to 30,000 rpm, rears hit 25,500 rpm
• Car uses an accelerometer to capture real vibrations from the electric motors & rear chassis. An algorithm filters out unpleasant frequencies and amplifies only the more “musical” sounds. This can be heard inside and outside the car.
• Paddle shifter on steering wheel changes how aggressively torque is delivered, with five different levels
• The trunk has 21.1 cubic feet of space, the largest luggage capacity the company has ever offered
• 197.6 inches long, about as long as a Tesla Model S
U.S. deliveries start in Q2 2027. More photos in the thread below:

@BeReasonable01 @bymortalhand That house was 2 miles from where you once visited me in Fort Wayne. It was on the market for a long time. I believe it recently sold for a bargain.

@whoareyou0 @nickdemarco_ This race had 628 passes (over takes). Cars are going 383 km/h down the straightaway. Sometimes 4 cars wide. 3 cars wide often. You won't understand until you experience in person.
Add the electricity of 350,000+ people is amazing.

@nickdemarco_ I still can’t understand how driving around in a circle with your foot down is exciting. Need to give it another go

The Indy 500 was an experience of a lifetime.
More than 350,000 people attended. I had to walk for over an hour each way, arriving at 8.30am to pick up credentials.
The opening ceremony was spectacular, and being on the starters’ grid, actually on the track for it, was incredible. Too much to share here, but I’ll share a video of Jordin Sparks singing the national anthem to give a flavour.
The race itself was long (200 laps, 500 miles), with interruptions and restarts, but to my surprise it was genuinely thrilling: constant overtaking, changes in the lead, and it ended with the closest finish in the event’s history. Far less predictable than Formula 1.
But what struck me most was how diverse, friendly and welcoming the enormous crowd was throughout.
Thanks to Alex Palou, CGR, Roger, Jim, Jonathan and Kavan for all making it possible.

The image depicts Katherine Cathey, the pregnant widow of U.S. Marine 2nd Lt. James “Jim” Cathey, lying on an air mattress on the floor in front of her husband’s flag-draped casket the night before his burial. A Marine honor guard stands vigil in the background.
Jim Cathey was tragically killed in action in Iraq in August 2005. Overcome with grief, Katherine refused to leave her husband’s casket. She requested to spend one final night with him. Two Marines went to great lengths to provide her with a makeshift bed, using a mattress and pillows on the floor. One Marine stood guard over her and the casket throughout the night.
This powerful and Pulitzer Prize-winning photograph was captured by Todd Heisler in 2005 as part of his series “Jim Comes Home” for the Rocky Mountain News.

Just learned about the concept of a “telescope ranch” in Texas.
People pay to have their $10,000+ telescope rigs set up in the middle of TX to avoid light pollution.
Every night the roof rolls back off the warehouses.
Then you can remote in to your telescope and use it from anywhere in the world.

Tom Steyer: “I’m totally in favor of trans athletes in high school. When you understand the vulnerability, the stress, the danger of being a trans kid and you understand almost half of them try to commit suicide. Then you think we’re gonna punish those kids, we’re gonna cut them off from team sport. It’s like, no we’re not”

@SpeakerJohnson Hear it every year from you clowns, and you just keep enriching yourselves. GO FUCK YOURSELF

Our best moment of the Indy 500 yesterday was when nearly 400,000 Americans at the world’s largest single-day sporting event went completely silent for the playing of Taps.
Our country never takes for granted the profound sacrifices that have been made in the defense of freedom. #MemorialDay
