@Head_cannon Sonic the Hedgehog as an international multimedia franchise, and besides, fans have it covered with mods like Chao World Extended. So, SEGA sees it's wise not to pour resources into competing with the fans who know what they want and have infinite time and passion.

@Head_cannon has no incentive to fix their years-old projects when Crossworlds and Paramount movies and the IDW series and Chaotix Case Files are the focus right now and what's making money. Same reason we'll never see another Chao Garden; it's relatively niche in the grand scope of
