In trading crypto especially memes, support and resistance are key to identify price levels where an asset tends to stop and reverse. Ride the wave. 1.Resistance Levels: • These are price levels where the market has historically struggled to go higher. • At resistance, sellers outnumber buyers, causing the price to stall or drop. • Example: If Bitcoin struggles to move above $40,000, that level is considered resistance. 2.Break of Resistance: •When the price finally moves above a resistance level, it signals increased buying pressure. •This suggests that the market sentiment has shifted, and buyers now dominate at that price. 3.Resistance Turns into Support: •Once resistance is broken, it often “flips” and becomes a new support level. •This happens because traders who missed buying before the breakout now see the previous resistance as a good entry point. 4.Waiting for Confirmation: • Instead of entering a trade immediately after the breakout, traders wait for the price to come back and “test” the new support level (the old resistance). • This test confirms that the breakout is valid, reducing the risk of a false breakout. 5.Re-Entering: • Once the price tests the new support level and starts rising again, it’s a signal to re-enter the trade. • This approach ensures you’re trading in the direction of the trend with a higher probability of success. Example in Action: •Let’s say a stock’s resistance is at $100. •The price breaks above $100 and goes to $105. •Instead of jumping in at $105, you wait for the price to come back to $100. •If $100 holds as support (price doesn’t fall below it), you can re-enter at $100 and ride the next upward move.
