There's something that I feel like your team still doesn't understand. The Ranked ladder is not a physical concept, it is the physical representation of a mental concept. When people get to the highest ranks; they are not obsessed with the idea of LP numbers, winrates, KDAs, etc... They are obsessed with how these numbers come across to not only their own, but others' perception. To explain a bit better, nobody is grinding for 1k LP or 2k LP or Rank 1 because the digit looks cool, it's because it's an exclusive placement that few have achieved that lend credence to their skill level, whether it's by themself or by others. If you were to ask me what the most fun early season was in recent memory, only one comes to mind. Split 3 of Season 14 (I believe) where you capped starting season MMR at 100 LP masters and everyone was having negative gains all the way up to Grandmaster. That was the most competitive and rewarding start to a season you'd ever had, and while some people were complaining, most were too busy grinding to even open Twitter. The only reason it got ruined was because, for some reason, the second you hit GM your gains would skyrocket to +30 and it completely invalidated this concept of a grueling grind that you made everyone hyped for. In short, you HAVE to understand (this is not an option anymore if you genuinely want to see the high-elo scene flourish rather than flounder) that there are only TWO things to take into account when you setup a high elo experience. 1. Fairness 2. Perception And right now, you're, with no malicious intent in these words, completely failing in both respects. Nobody cares about high elo rankings anymore, everyone's either complaining or making fun of it, and everything just feels completely invalidated and meaningless. All is not lost, however. You can still save it but there does need to be a hard MMR reset to 0 LP for everyone. The process will take a lot less time to iron out than you think it will since most people will want to grind it out especially if you hype it up properly. In the future, cap ending season MMR as well to 0 LP masters and introduce the flat gains concept I talked about and i guarantee League of Legends will be setup for prosperity for the years to come. Fairness is required above all, nobody wants to see others given a free ride and this is unironically the #1 thing that if you fix, everything else gets solved. We're only 3 months into this season right now, don't delay the inevitable any longer than you need to. Please.

And so it begins. People don't realise that the biggest problem with 3000-4000LP isn't even this year. What happens after "reset" when you have people with 3.5k LP MMR . If you thought the inflation of LP was bad in the previous years, get ready.

For a Master 0 lp player to reach where sheiden is would be the equivalent of an Iron IV player reaching Master 200 LP. Let that sink in.

Can’t believe I’m saying this but I feel bad for all the people in masters. I remember hitting GM and CHALL for the first times during early seasons just barely getting to the cut offs and then trying my hardest to maintain it throughout the seasons. How can you even look to get GM after hitting for the first time masters when the cut off will approach 2000? That’s 100 net wins. What? Who even has time to play that many games? I love the open dialogue and showing us the thought process but I wish it happened before it was shipped. Can’t go back on something like this, only a few hours in and people have gained 100s of lp individually from the insane LP gains (me included). Only out from here if this flops is hard reset. Hoping for the best 🙏

@Sheep_Esports I'm not saying there shouldn't be a grind for apex tiers like gm and challenger, but this is a ludicrous amount of grind even for apex tiers. This is just pure disrespect to player's times
