Joined students, parents, and the community in Menengai East ward for the launch of the first tranche of this Financial Year’s Nakuru County Bursary disbursement, issuing cheques to beneficiaries in Nakuru Town East Sub-county amounting to Sh27,195,500. A total of 5,582 students from the Sub-county were awarded bursaries, with a number of them receiving full scholarships. To further promote education in Nakuru County, I will work closely with MCAs to reduce fees payable by students in day schools. We will soon begin providing ECDE learners with uniforms tailored by our VTCs, continue the Uji Programme, and sustain the Sh30,000 capitation for VTC learners. I also outlined key development projects in the area, including the upgrading of Menengai Dispensary to a Health Centre with a maternity wing, equipping ECDE centres, the ongoing construction of a polytechnic in Kwa Murogi, gravelling and upgrading of roads under the Imarisha Barabara Programme, slum upgrading under the KISIP Programme, and the construction of a sewerage system. Present were Education CEC Zipporah Wambui, Education Chief Officer Martin Kagai, Disaster Response Chief Officer Joyce Ncece, County Assembly Education Committee Chairman P. M. Njoroge, area MCA Wilson Mwangi Wa Jeff, other MCAs, and teacher union officials.

Greetings fellow Ugandans, fellow Africans and especially, the Bazzukulu.   I am sending out this message to, first of all, thank God for giving Maama and myself our wonderful children: Muhoozi (Muogi), Natasha (Kukuru), Patience (Pusi) and Kyaremeera (Kyinini)., protecting them and prospering them.  Secondly, I want to thank Maama for looking after them especially for the years 1981-86 when she was the only parent near them. Thirdly, I salute the children for going through the school systems and branching out successfully in the different fields of life – family, career, etc. Fourthly, I thank the Ugandans and some of the Africans for standing with and supporting our family and Political movement in the various endeavours we have been undertaking with them. On this occasion, on the 24th of April 2026, I want to congratulate Gen. Muhoozi (Muogi) on this 52nd birthday. These children, in particular Muhoozi, were born in the resistance, grew up in the resistance, and, in various ways, have made significant contribution to the resistance. Gen. Muhoozi has made significant contribution to fighting corruption in the Army and increasing the lethality of the UPDF.
