@being_ulti And that’s fine, it’s your opinion. I think it’s not a big deal and there are way bigger hits than this. Glad you’re watching the semis!

@NashNightWatch I think it was dangerous because it was a hit on a player that wasn't looking at him and certainly not expecting to be hit. Also, I never saw it in real time, just the clip I sent so it could look worse slowed down. I will say there have been no egregious hits during the semis.

@being_ulti It would be dangerous if it was a hard hit. If the player wanted to hurt him he would’ve hit him hard, this wasn’t much of hit at all. It was egregious but definitely not dangerous.

@NashNightWatch my problem was him hitting a player that didn't see it coming. It was a blind side hit. Are you saying you think that part isn't important. The player not expecting it or even looking at him is what makes it dangerous and egregious.

@being_ulti The opposing player didn’t flop, just didn’t see it coming. If he would’ve saw it coming he would’ve barely moved because the “hit” was that soft. He got suspended for it, that’s fine because it was wrong to do. But at the end of the day it’s soft and not an issue at all.

@NashNightWatch I agree with you about th players being respectful and safe to each other. This play wasn't safe or respectful, which is why he was suspended. The hit looks significant. Are you saying the opposing player flopped?

@being_ulti The hit is not significant, it’s pretty soft. The players have a responsibility to be safe and respectful first and foremost to each other. The children watching shouldn’t be the first thing they are thinking about when it comes to safety and respect.

@NashNightWatch The clip is not at real speed. The hit looks significant, i.e.. he puts the player on his back. Also, you seem to not address my issue that children are watching you and that you have a responsibility to play the game in a safe and respectful way that highlights sportsmanship.

@being_ulti 😂 he barely “hits” him. Like I said that contact is nothing compared to the contact going on in games. It doesn’t make it right, but it’s really nothing to it, let alone malice. I’m sure it wasn’t unprovoked and came from some contact that happened earlier in the game.

@NashNightWatch He just checks him. It is a blind side hit. It is a dirty play. I don't see how that play is a result of anything other than malice. I have watched the AUDL and Club Ultimate and I have not noticed blatant blind side hits in the game.

@being_ulti Not filled with bros or jerks at all. The pace that AUDL games move at is unlike at any other level of Ultimate. You bring in the factor that this isn’t self officiated then plays like this will happen sometimes due to the pace and physical nature of this level.

@NashNightWatch My problem isn't contact or physicality of the game. It is that this served no purpose but to be violent and attempt to hurt a fellow competitor. This isn't hockey or lacrosse. Are you saying the AUDL is just filled with a bunch of bros/jerks who like hitting one another.

Our celebration of Black History Month continues with our newest signing, Devin Cox. On the field, you can find him in the endzone scoring goals, ripping hucks, and shutting down his mark. He has played with the Atlanta Hustle and Nashville Nightwatch (4 goals and 10 blocks).
