Unknowingly sold corn right on that wick. Maybe it will continue to go up now. Bearish grains always without any data or reasoning whatsoever.

Doing the right thing takes work but if it feels like work you’re probably doing it for the wrong reasons.

@NelsDer If you can’t make it on $9.50-$10beans and $4 corn you’re fucked. Had opportunities at $4.00-$4.20 corn and $10-10.50 beans not that long ago. We can’t make it on $9.50 soys so we don’t grow them lol.

You had opportunity to sell your grain at decent levels before now. Sort of comical that the extra certified acres came in more than likely in lieu of the bridge payment because you had to certify acres to get it and people who normally don’t, did. That simple. Conspiracy? Maybe

The reality of farm automation will be absentee land barons “farming” from warm locales like Florida, Hawaii, the Bahamas, Mexico, Costa Rica, etc. while the employ a manager or two to service and oversee the entire op from corn country, right? Isn’t that what’s going to happen if we go fully automated farming? Even less people in our rural communities while the land keeps getting mined and abused from afar? Sounds distopian. Sounds lame. Not sure what’s going to stop it, but hopefully we do.
