Inshrah Ayyubi, an engineer, was living in a live-in relationship with her Hindu boyfriend. Neighbors heard shouting from the house and alerted others. When the door was opened, Shehna was found hanging while her male friend, Arun, was still inside. Bloodstains was reportedly found on Arun, as well as on the floor and staircase. He was taken into police custody. During questioning, Arun admitted they had argued and that he slapped her and grabbed her by the neck before claiming she died by suicide.
