Thank you, Hon'ble Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma and the @MeghalayaGov for convening a meaningful dialogue on the state's digital and economic future. A delegation of 16 industry leaders from 10 organizations engaged with senior government officials on investment, skilling, digital infrastructure, and expansion opportunities in the Northeast. Nasscom President Rajesh Nambiar outlined the three pillars industry evaluates when considering a new geography — Expertise, Economics, and Expansion. Nasscom BPM National Council Chair Jasjit Singh Kang reaffirmed the Council's commitment to building the Northeast as an emerging tech hub under its Emerging Hub Charter. From industry-academia-skilling sessions to a roundtable with the Hon'ble Chief Minister the dialogue was wide-ranging and outcome-focused. We look forward to a continued partnership with the Government of Meghalaya in shaping the Northeast as a destination for technology, talent, and growth. @RNamb @godvinayak @Yashvardan0437 @Raghukumar84 @nasscom_member_ @ukv_murthy

The Nasscom Talent Council has been created with a larger purpose - to help India build a future-ready talent ecosystem that can sustain global competitiveness in the midst of rapid technological, business, and workforce transformation. #CHROConnect Chennai brought together CHROs, industry leaders, and ecosystem stakeholders for an extremely candid and forward-looking discussion on employability, workforce transformation, and the future of talent. What stood out was not just the depth of conversation, but the collective willingness from industry leaders to actively contribute toward nation-building and shaping the next phase of India’s talent story. Some of the strongest themes that emerged from the discussion: • Moving beyond degree-led hiring toward trusted skill validation, assessments, and microcredentials • Building stronger industry-academia collaboration through the Professor of Practice model • Creating structured internship and experiential learning pathways aligned to real business needs • Reimagining curriculum responsiveness in the era of AI and emerging technologies • Strengthening communication, problem-solving, and human-centric skills alongside technical capability There was strong alignment across the room that India now has an opportunity to rethink talent at scale- not incrementally, but systemically. In the middle of AI-led disruption and shifting workforce realities, the question is no longer whether transformation will happen. The real question is: Can the HR leadership community collectively shape a talent ecosystem that keeps India globally competitive for the next decade? The energy, openness, and intent in the room suggest the answer can be yes - if industry chooses to build together. #Nasscom #TalentCouncil #CHROConnect #FutureOfWork #Employability #SkillBasedHiring #IndustryAcademia #WorkforceTransformation #AI #Microcredentials #ProfessorOfPractice @MKritika_ @KhyatiKapoor1

The tech industry in India operates under well established hybrid work model. In light of the ongoing middle East tensions, companies have adopted prudent energy management measures including - Strengthening hybrid work models that balance operational imperatives with increased flexibility for work- from- home, wherever appropriate. - Encouraging usage of public transports to conserve fuel - Optimizing non essential air travels, and - Adopting sustainability measures by increasing the use of electricity and alternative fuel sources such as biogas across cafeterias to reduce fuel consumption and improve energy efficiency. @RNamb @GoI_MeitY

India’s GCC story is no longer defined by scale alone. It is increasingly being shaped by ownership, innovation, and enterprise influence. In his recent article with @FortuneIndia, Rajesh Nambiar, President, Nasscom, reflects on how GCCs are evolving from execution hubs into strategic centers driving global product development, AI transformation, and frontier R&D. What stands out is the shift in intent. Many of the newer GCCs being set up in India are being built with AI, data science, cybersecurity, semiconductor, and deeptech capabilities embedded from the start, not added later. This marks a larger transition: from cost efficiency to capability leadership. From supporting the enterprise to helping shape its future. India is increasingly becoming the place where global enterprises build long-term technology capability, test strategic bets, and drive innovation at scale. #Nasscom #GCC #AI #DeepTech #EnterpriseAI #GlobalCapabilityCenters @RNamb
