Keeping our communities safe means ensuring police can act quickly and keep pace with modern technology that has made it easier for criminals to operate and evade justice. Today, Chief @TPSMyronDemkiw joined Minister of Public Safety @gary_srp to speak to how the modernization of lawful access provisions through the federal government’s Bill C‑22 gives police the tools they need to move investigations forward and apprehend violent criminals.

It was great to sit down with the dedicated @TrafficServices officers who work to keep Toronto’s highways and streets safe. Their downtown gridlock campaign is changing poor driver behaviours including no-stopping and parking on rush-hour routes and blocking of intersections. Everyday they patrol city streets, the DVP & Gardiner, attend to victims of collisions, work to reduce congestion, facilitate traffic safety plans around major sports and entertainment events that our world-class city is proud to host. They are using their skill, experience and training to keep millions of people safe and moving.
