This is one of my favourite evergreen climbers: clematis 'winter beauty'. It makes sparkly, waxy, bell-like flowers in Dec/Jan/Feb which drip nectar - bees love it & I've seen the birds enjoying it too! It doesn't attach itself to the walls, needs a frame of some sort.

A quick test of our new @ExeSciCentre infrared camera to show the benefit of plants for shading buildings - the image on the right shows the brick temp. beneath the leaves (24degC) compared to the exposed brick temp of around 49degC. Free cooling, no electricity required 😍
