It's so funny how obvious, between how this is worded and what @TomPelissero said earlier on this too, that the Vikings FULLY planned to ride with Carson Wentz the rest of the way last season after J.J. McCarthy got hurt.
They DID NOT want to pivot back to McCarthy (LMFAO) but were forced to when Wentz scarified is his life on the field in LA.
Was super obvious at the time, but the emotions got the best of many on here.

Carson Wentz, back in Minnesota. The Vikings have rounded out the QB room the way they wanted to. Wentz had a lot of fans internally — many believed they might’ve snuck in playoffs had he stayed healthy.

I’ve had some time to reflect since last night, and here are my honest thoughts:
I genuinely feel bad for JJ McCarthy. I had a strong belief in him, and I still do. However, I don’t think he’ll be here when he finally realizes his potential.
My faith in Kevin O’Connell and the organization, including the Wilfs, is at an all-time low. It is what it is.
That said, if Kyler Murray is going to be the guy leading us in 2026, then I’ll get on board and hope for the best.
On the plus side, my inner homer does appreciate the fact that he grew up being a Vikings fan.
