@Cyclebrity But genuinely for a power coding agent user I think you can easily spend $5,000 a month on tokens if you are a metered customer.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but it seems like if you are paying $200 a month for services that you know cost $200 a day if you paid for metered usage, you should probably expect that there are strings attached to this bargain.

@austinc3301 Including cash salary is a CA state legal compliance thing. There is no meaningful benefit to publishing equity numbers and it weakens negotiating power.

Why do Ant and so many other companies not include equity in job postings? is it a legal thing?

I picked two random series A startups off my feed. One of them was already in a bit of a jam, the other was pretty normal. Within an hour, I found that one of them didn’t actually have a working product and the other had a paper trail of lies about leadership’s work history.

We’re at a point with AI tech where once you scratch the surface on many of these seemingly huge startups you can almost immediately find facts that don’t check out, impossible claims, and objectively nonexistent revenue.

@Austen If you find it continuing to break your expectations, feel free to reach out. We really are glad to have feedback. I know we have a reputation for not always being the fastest movers. But we have made huge changes in the last 2 years to make sure that’s not what holds us back.

Amazing. Xcode in the Mac OS beta does indeed have both Ahthropic/Claude and OpenAI/Codex built directly into Xcode. But youhave to authorize it when you want it to run a shell command. For every individual command. One command at a time. One model at a time.

@mronge @Austen We’re investigating how to loosen this further, and improve things with each public build. As you might imagine, Apple has very strict security standards, so opening this door into Xcode was not taken lightly. But hopefully you are already seeing fewer and fewer noisy prompts.

@NathanBLawrence @Austen Related but is it possible to get Xcode to stop popping the MCP permission prompt all the time when connect to the codex or Claude externally?

They canceled MCP last week. They’re cancelling skill files now, the cycle is getting faster.

When are they going to come for my clutch strategy of “just typing what I want but being really really clear about it”

@wackie He’s just confused. That’s not how it works. We allow wildcards in that field and even explain that in a message he clicked through.

We would politely ask that FFmpeg and "thought leadership" never be used in the same sentence again.
