@SupercoachHQ Keep it simple and don’t overthink it 👍 Stick with what your thinking was before this possible midfield move. It doesn’t matter if it turns out to be true because you adjust once you’ve seen it. What if he scores well as a midfielder too? (Not a wingman)

The McKercher debate is getting to me, he's the last piece of the puzzle I'm confused about... for context, he's the highest I can get to #supercoach
Alternatives I'm drawn to (I use that term loosely) are Houston & Rivers

@fantasynut_afl 1 reason not mentioned is rookie scoring. A rookie might get 50 AF which you don’t want on field but their SC score may be 65-70 which you can get away with.
Value has definitely become more of a focus since the increase in trades the last couple of years though

I understand the scoring system and rules are v.different but it's interesting to see how different the consensus approach is in #AFLFantasy vs #Supercoach.
Why are the top of the line guys, particularly in the midfield, so popular in SC?
For eg, adjusted ownership per @bitinthat
Bont:
31.8% in SC
18.7% in AF
Daicos:
58% in SC
32.9% in SC
NWM:
64% in SC
53% in AF
The argument for a predominantly Guns'n'Rook approach used to be d.t the far fewer trades in SC vs AF, but SC now has a lot of trades.
How come the focus on value is so much less in SC?

@SupercoachHQ I’m currently flirting with Xerri R1, Jackson R2 and English Flex (I also like DCam). Could be a massive difference if rucks aren’t impacted the way everyone thinks. Xerri is the one I anticipate could fail but his early run is ridiculously good

#supercoach The ruck, once the most safest position, now has so much uncertainty. We've been fading Xerri who's losing ownership by the day, now 45.6%, Jackson is gaining, up to 30.0%. I'm still bullish on English 16.0%, but waiting to see him against Hawks next week.

@SupercoachHQ @al_supercoach It will be worth assessing at the time but his run home might be irrelevant if you think he can still average 95 post bye with a tough run because he is still out scoring most forwards

@NathanCadee @al_supercoach I don't disagree, but the problem then becomes that their run after that mid season bye is atrocious
Lions, Cats, Hawks, Dockers, Pies*, Crows & Dogs
Pies could slide due to age, or still be around the mark - 6 or 7 competitive sides on the bounce

Does anyone have stats on Hit-Outs to Advantage from boundary throw ins in 2025?
With the new out of bounds rule, I think you could see a small drop in points to certain Rucks.

@SupercoachHQ I think it will likely come down to their fixture for me. Gulden as an example has the rd 3 bye but then plays West Coast in rd 4. Nothing is a given but higher chance he gets a pop score against WC. Then you hope it evens out the loss of points vs a player with no bye

I'm open to taking the hit early doors to get the players I want... but I'm still unsure how much that sets you back, if at all
