NDSU QB Cole Payton’s unique elongation in his throwing motion will be interesting to see if his NFL team tweaks it or “it ain’t broke” Can say from Senior Bowl close-ups, he throws a very, very pretty football flying out his hand

51-YEAR-OLD GOGGINS REENLISTS AND CHOOSES SUFFERING AGAIN @davidgoggins has reenlisted in the U.S. Air Force at age 51 as a master sergeant, entering the elite Special Warfare Training Wing after receiving an age waiver. The move places him back into one of the military’s toughest pipelines, where most candidates decades younger fail, despite Goggins already completing Navy SEAL training, Army Ranger School, and Air Force Tactical Air Controller training earlier in his career. Most people midlife crisis buy a sports car, he picked a two-year training pipeline designed to break humans. Source: NewsForce

What is a movie that "broke" you so hard you can only watch it once, but you would still recommend it to everyone?

In Mel Kiper Jr’s recent mock draft, he has the #Vikings selecting Oregon S Dillon Thieneman: “Every time I do this exercise, the Oregon safety ends up staring me in the face at pick 18. He’s a perfect fit.”

Name a player — not named Derek Jeter or Cal Ripken Jr. — that you respect the most for staying loyal to one team for their entire career. In an era of constant movement, those guys are rare. Who’s your pick? 👇⚾ Bonus points if you watched them their whole career.

@johnkriesel I think us Vikings fans are going to adjust real quick to having a QB who is a weapon. In my eyes, this lines us up very similarly to how the Ravens have been. The ability to win games from either side of the ball, there’s gonna be a lot of games we’re in with this crew. OohhRAaa

Having Kyler Murray as our quarterback is not the situation we hoped to be in, but the NFL is an entertainment business, and he will definitely make this season more entertaining. Good or bad. I’m excited for it.

Two-time Pro Bowl QB Kyler Murray has signed a one-year contract with the Vikings, his agent @ErikBurkhardt tells me and @RapSheet. The deal includes a no-tag clause. Murray will make $36.8 million this season, with Arizona paying all but the minimum salary.

@PaulCharchian He wasn’t throwing to scrubs early ON, he was throwing to legends past their prime…and that’s not a shot at anyone in either direction, it’s just fact. Past that, it’s looking more like he made Kirk a ton of money, the rest exactly what they are now

No surprise here. Both Kyler Murray and the Vikings needed this deal. Now that it's official, let's dig in. Reasons for optimism: - He's far more accomplished than Sam Darnold was when joining Minnesota. - The Cardinals are a broken organization and it's possible that nobody was going to succeed. - Murray missed 30 games in 7 years in Arizona. They won 5 of those games. Maybe Murray wasn't the problem. Reasons for pessimism: - Stylistically, he's nothing like KOC's success stories. Murray is a shotgun quarterback; Darnold and Cousins mostly played under center. Murray is an improvisationalist; Darnold and Cousins were pocket, scheme passers. - The Cardinals' offense was better with Jacoby Brissett last year and Michael Wilson went berserk after Kyler left. - He wasn't throwing to scrubs: Larry Fitzgerald. DeAndre Hopkins. Christian Kirk. Zach Ertz. Marquise Brown. Maybe Marvin Harrison Jr counts. Murray gives Vikings fans hope for 2026 and he gives JJ McCarthy another year to learn from the bench.
