VAR conveniently resurrecting the 5cm tolerance rule to gift Liverpool a blatant offside goal - just like they did vs Fulham - while it mysteriously vanished for Casemiro's goal vs West Ham. Harry Maguire was 'impacting play' from offside without even touching the ball vs Fulham, but Hugo Ekitike's clear interference in Liverpool's winner? Total blind eye, so it's offside depending on the club? Football's a farce when the rules bend for the darlings.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but was Liverpool’s winner not MORE offside than Casemiro’s disallowed goal vs West Ham?

@AdamJoseph Open your eyes you moron. Clearly onside. Forrest defenders leg is obviously keeping Van Dijk onside. Learn the rules of the game child.

@ManUtd Beating West Ham at home isn’t for everybody. Small, weak clubs like United turn it into a struggle session. Big clubs like Arsenal handle it, collect the points, and move on. Levels. Simple as that.

Manchester City already equalised this achievement by winning the treble themselves. Not to mention, we added to this by winning the UEFA Super Cup AND the Club World Cup that year. Then after this, one of our players went on to win a Ballon d'Or. Furthermore, we were also the first EVER and still the ONLY club to gain 100 points in a season, win a domestic quadruple AND win four in a row. Oh and by the way... this was all in under a decade. I very much think that your "soulful and purposeful" treble has indeed... been topped.

@MUFCScoop Not sure about this. I signed for the under 17s 20 odd years ago. The first thing that happened after my first session was to go to this bootroom within Carrington for boots, shinnies etc. That said, 20 years ago united were a proper club

Wayne Rooney on his son Kai: “When he plays for the Manchester United U16s, something which I really like is he can’t wear his Puma boots. All the academy have to wear the same boots. They do it because there’s people from areas where they can’t afford certain boots so I think it’s really good. But he’s played for the U18s a few times and he can then wear his Puma boots. He’s doing well to be fair to him.” [@SmithBrosPod] #MUFC

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆? There seemed to be only two people watching who thought South Africa’s Khuliso Mudau had actually committed an offence worthy of being penalised when his flailing hand touched Mohamed Salah’s forehead. Unfortunately for South Africa, those two were the VAR and the on-pitch referee Pacifique Ndabihawenimana. @NickMiller79 and @Walid_4 analyse the key talking points from an intriguing match in Agadir. nytimes.com/athletic/69186…
