So disappointing that ANYONE would act this way at a youth lacrosse event. This parent from the @ExpressLacrosse Channy Team called the @IRQ_Nationals U14 dev team trash and that they didn’t “belong” at the World Series of Youth Lacrosse. @Inside_Lacrosse @JustLacrosse #WSYL21

Regardless of how far people may think our sport has come, instances like this still occur. How can we as a community expect players of color to enjoy this sport when there are more elements beyond on the field that these players must worry about.

@NationUnitedLC My wife and I are talking about this right now. I say it’s about privilege. Someone who sees their Ivy League credentials as life changing doesn’t make that move. Someone who presumes life success is willing to make that choice.

This entire thread 🗣🗣. The health of these players is more important than the “loss” of a season. Making risk based decisions is not necessarily easy ...but as tough as it is, this is the right call.

All this slander of the Ivy League isn’t sitting right with me. Late with an announcement? Yes. CFB players have off the record stated they were sacrificial lambs for entertainment. CFB/CBB teams shut down for weeks with team wide outbreaks and lax twitter crying smh (1/3)

As someone who spends a lot of time advocating for young athletes, this quote hits home. Too many bosses in the club lacrosse space looking to control their constituency, not enough leaders opening doors and doing the blue collar work.
Families, make sure that you invest wisely!
