This is my first time play legacy from around 7 years.. 4-1 in my first legacy league, Mardu Ocelot is very fun and solid deck, I’m Boros Energy Modern player and this cross is comfortable for me. Deck list from @GiggsMtg Legacy Showcase Winner @fireshoes

@DaylonMack @Dakota592018 @fireshoes Hey Daylon! I’ve tested Surgical a lot and have mixed feelings. Space is tight—15 slots isn’t much 😅 It’s good vs some threats, but often your own cards are enough, and sometimes you just lose. I don’t like single copies that only work if you draw them at the right time.

Missed the 5-0 perfect score with my Boros Energy. As time goes on, the list is becoming more stock for me, with only a few cards still to define and test. The rest feels literally perfect. Thanks to brainstorming with top players of the archetype, the list is slowly shaping up.

@l_sapio @Dakota592018 @fireshoes Boros Energy feels almost perfect—its strength is consistency. I used to play Pyromancer, but I now prefer Fable—it just does more. Both are strong. If you run Fable, BM makes more sense also if it isn't that good at the moment.

Right now, Fable feels much better. Pyromancer often forced me to discard even when I didn’t want to, just to avoid a dead turn.

Fable gives more flexibility. I’ve won multiple games by binning Phlage with it and escaping it the same turn, without giving the opponent priority. Definitely not something to underestimate.

Don’t hate me—even if it helped me win vs Grinding Station—but I think Captain Ranger is bad. It feels too slow. Maybe better online depending on the meta. Fable over Pyromancer? Still testing.

Started Obscured 33 today on a friend’s recommendation of time ago Only 3 hours in but the story already has me hooked, even if some gameplay isn’t fully my taste. Curious to see where it goes. @TeoGuitarist88 ❤️

List not published for now, since I’ll be at Awesome Modern in Bollate tomorrow to hang out with friends and play.

Went FIRST PLACE again with a score of 3-0-1 yesterday at Cermenate (Upkeep 25) with my beloved Boros Energy. List is a bit different from the usual builds, but I’m very happy with the brainstorming and the 60. Confident on 58/60. Sideboard almost there too.

boros will continue until morale improves🤠I feel pretty set in this list for the moment. Kinda toss up between third thraben charm and one static prison main. Sb is whatever but I think having access to at least one vexing bauble is pretty important in a lot of mus.

@AndreaSensi8 @fireshoes Instead of Orim we chose Vexing Bauble, since it’s useful against decks like Affinity, Living End, and it can also replace itself. So the idea is: Damping for Storm and Bauble for Living End. The paper meta should be different from online, and that’s the reason behind the choice

@Natity97 @fireshoes Hi, just curious on why damping sphere should be better than orim (since I think they get the same spot in the SB). Also loving to play at least one b-moon main, stealing games otp with rag living feels too nice.

4-1 with Boros Energy, lost the last one. Prepping for the season → more testing and brewing soon. Thanks to my friend Torrini for the Damping Sphere / Boros Energy tech talk. Deck is still great — don’t believe people dropping it for Eldrazi Tron 😄

@AndreaSensi8 @fireshoes About Blood Moon, I don’t really like it in Boros. It can steal games, but it’s very expected and people play around it. Maybe fine in the sideboard, but not great if you expect many mirrors. I’m also not a fan of a single copy since you rarely see it when it actually matters.

@AndreaSensi8 @fireshoes Hey Andrea! Talking with a friend who also went to the Pro Tour, we agreed that Damping is very strong against decks like Tron, Storm, Amulet, etc., which we expect more in paper during the qualifier season.

@JacobDawso24080 @fireshoes Yeah, i just try to play the version that i can play paper with the cards i have I am a simple person, if I don’t have full art foil roku… i just play showdown (what a beautiful person i am.. i know ahah)

@Natity97 @fireshoes I have been playing 1 to 2 Legend of Roku main and I have preferred that to showdown in the late game as 1 less card is worth a threat that wins the game to me at least.
