To any trans people reading this, I’m so sorry. It must feel desperate, another hammer blow, but a governing body does not speaks for the community. You are all welcome, loved, accepted, and there are legions who will fight to bring us closer to that brighter future.

In the 1940s, there were conversations held about banning black people from playing rugby due to the “biological differences”. In the 1990s, the RFU discussed a “soft ban” on gay men. In 30 years time, we will view this ban on trans folk in the same way.

Speaking publicly about this requires real bravery; so it's important to say  - we believe you Charlotte & thank you for coming forward. We also know that many women working in rugby have experienced vile language or "jokes"  dressed up as "banter" but cannot speak up .

A former boss at the women's rugby claims there was a "toxic culture" of sexism at the Welsh Rugby Union. The WRU has investigated these claims and says proper procedures were followed. #BBCRugby

“In her WRU leaving speech, Ms Blanc, on the ‘21 Forbes most influential women in the world list, said she was questioned whether she had "sufficient business experience" to be chairwoman of the WRU's prof board.” Now imagine how ‘junior’ women are treated in that environment
BBC Wales News@BBCWalesNews

Former rugby board chairwoman Amanda Blanc told the WRU it had 'deep rooted' culture and behavioural problems bbc.in/3D3EkfR

Name one profession other than the NHS that charges its employees to park in the car park at work. Bloody ridiculous. Get rid of that alone and it would equate to a pay rise of around 3-5% for an average nurse

Just a quick thing - patients already pay for the NHS. It’s called tax.

“Celebrating” women is great. “Fighting for what we deserve” sounds awesome. But to take the next step, we have to stop highlighting what’s already been done and instead focus on what women’s sports could – and will – be. (10/10)
