To any trans people reading this, I’m so sorry. It must feel desperate, another hammer blow, but a governing body does not speaks for the community. You are all welcome, loved, accepted, and there are legions who will fight to bring us closer to that brighter future.

In the 1940s, there were conversations held about banning black people from playing rugby due to the “biological differences”. In the 1990s, the RFU discussed a “soft ban” on gay men. In 30 years time, we will view this ban on trans folk in the same way.

Speaking publicly about this requires real bravery; so it's important to say  - we believe you Charlotte & thank you for coming forward. We also know that many women working in rugby have experienced vile language or "jokes"  dressed up as "banter" but cannot speak up .

Name one profession other than the NHS that charges its employees to park in the car park at work. Bloody ridiculous. Get rid of that alone and it would equate to a pay rise of around 3-5% for an average nurse
