Every detail matters. Twice a year, the Brigade of Midshipmen conducts the Alpha Inspection inside Bancroft Hall, a top-to-bottom room inspection designed to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail.🧹

Midshipmen bound for the submarine community gathered with leaders from across the force to mark the beginning of their journey into the Silent Service. Congratulations to our future submariners as they prepare to take on this demanding and vital mission.

USNA hosted the annual Astronaut Convocation, bringing together distinguished members of the NASA Astronaut Corps for a panel discussion with the Brigade. The convocation continues a proud tradition of connecting the Brigade to a legacy that extends from the Yard to the stars.

This past week, midshipmen selected for the Medical Corps came together to mark an important milestone in their journey to serve. The evening offered time to build connections within the community before heading to medical school. Congratulations to these future Navy doctors!

Alumni Hall came alive as midshipmen stepped into the ring for the 85th Brigade Boxing Championships. A long-standing Naval Academy tradition, the event showcased the composure, accountability, and resilience that define the Brigade. 🥊

Leaders from government, industry, and the U.S. Naval Academy recently gathered in Baltimore to mark a significant milestone in maritime innovation: the keel-laying of NightTrain, an autonomous logistics vessel developed by BlackSea Technologies.

Last week we recognized the Midshipmen of the Class of 2026 who have been selected to the Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) and the Supply Corps. These officers represent the "Engineers of the Fleet", and the "Business of the Navy". Congratulations!

The Naval Academy hosted the annual Leadership Conference (NALC) this week, welcoming midshipmen and delegates from across the world. This year’s theme, The Elements of a Winning Team, focused on the qualities and collaboration required for success in leadership and service.

Yesterday, the Brigade welcomed author James Kerr to the Yard. He shared powerful lessons from his book, Legacy, bridging the gap between elite athletics and the leadership required of future naval officers. Excellence isn’t an accident—it’s a standard.

In partnership with the City of Annapolis, the Midshipman Action Group volunteered their time to shovel snow for residents in need. We support our neighbors in Annapolis and remain committed to service beyond the Yard.❄️

Victory on both courts!🏀 Yesterday, Navy men’s, and women’s basketball secured wins against Army. There’s no better feeling than singing, second, and even better, twice in one day!

This week, the midshipmen who selected Information Warfare Community (IWC) had their community dinner. This annual dinner serves to introduce them to current officers in the community while they celebrate with their classmates. “Information is combat power!”
