Tavien St. Clair has had some explosive eye popping plays, but, delayed decisions, quickened/panicked drop backs, & lack of execution on short down & distances, are doing him in, & exposing foolishness of folks on here rushing to shout that he should start over Julian Sayin.

@BSO Sayin is no where near the QB that could read a defense like Stroud could. Sayin was lost against Indiana and lost against Miami. Kid can't read a defense for shit. Don't ever compare the two again. Idgaf how high his completions percentage is

Wasn’t shaky had multiple drops. They had terrible field positions most of Texas game more safe than sorry. He doesn’t shrink under pressure. Long way to go but he’s clearly better than some of the more hyped QBs. He and CJ Carr should get more run

@BSO Against a top defense in Texas, he was shaky. He is so accurate short to intermediate, but he has been comfortable since that game, even vs a spirited Huskies team. We’ll see how he is when he is consistently under pressure in the pocket, which may not happen unless vs Miami

@CPTLbetsBIG Legit, this is a spot on analysis. I've thought this all along. I have Sayin currently as the number 3 due to his obvious weak arm and the real battle between Kienholz and St Clair. It's incredible how many people just cave to hype around Sayin without actually looking at his arm

look at his film from his few throws at OSU... has a very weak arm basically a poor man's Quinn Ewers. I think Tavien St Clair has a great chance to start and if he doesn't I would be worried as a bucknut. Also the fact that he never supplanted Devin Brown as the defacto #2

Julian Sayin is reportedly believed to “have the potential” to be the best QB in Buckeyes history by several personnel within the building. Some reportedly believe he could have a “more prolific” OSU career than either CJ Stroud or Justin Fields had. Multiple people who have played with Sayin say that he has the “fastest release” they’ve ever seen a QB have. Sayin currently weighs around 200 pounds right now, but is expected to be at or over 210 by the time of next season. In his first season, Sayin’s weapons will include Jeremiah Smith, Carnell Tate, Brandon Inniss, James Peoples, and Jelani Thurman. Sayin’s first game as the Buckeyes QB1 will come against Arch Manning and Texas 🍿
