He uses his arm to control it and gains a massive advantage as a result. How on earth have they fucked the rules this badly? That's not even VAR's fault because the referee overruled it, although I've no idea why it took them 5 minutes.

Just ban VAR from football until it’s fixed. The only thing that is clear cut is the ball going over the line or offside. The rest is just opinion based. I’d be a lot more accepting if the ref didn’t have another chance to look. Always hiding behind ‘refs call’
