During my 1st #ECOFIN meeting, I wished succes to @2021PortugalEU & underlined RO’s objective to start the implementation of Recovery & Resilience Facility as soon as possible. We need to act quickly, in order to respond to our citizens’ expectations & start the recovery process.

I also presented the RO position on expected new legislative proposals for new own resources & envisaged timeline. I am confident that the ratification of new ORD will be done in due time, in all MS, allowing the launch of Recovery & Resilience Facility as soon as possible 2/2

Fruitful exchange of views with @JHahnEu on the plans of the new RO Government regarding the reforms and budgetary prospects. I thanked the Commissioner for his constant support and assured him of our constructive engagement. 1/2

Today, I had my first phone call with @VDombrovskis. He reaffirmed support both the reform commitment of RO Gov and for the 🇷🇴NRRP. I presented our priorities regarding 2021 budget and recent measures. Look forward to work closely with @EU_Commission on our joint objectives! 🇷🇴🇪🇺
