Med School Chronicles.
The two types of medical examiners
Frame 1
The veteran professor (30+ years)
Always friendly, makes you comfortable.
Knows exactly what a student should know.
Won't stress you with recent trends, that's for his residents.
But if you don't know your patient's pulse rate or indication for admission on exam morning?
Clinical failure. No negotiation.
The young attending (under 10 years post-fellowship)
Always look tougher than how they look during rounds. 😄
Will drill you on recent literature until you're sweating.
Probably won't fail you for it, but you'll likely walk out of that room, convinced you know nothing.
The veteran is the safer examiner if they are paired, and they usually are, unless you genuinely didn't prepare well for the exam.
Bonus tip:An orthopaedic patient is usually a gift. Unless your examiner is an ortho surgeon.
Then you better know the difference between an internal and external fixator like your life depends on it.
Because in that moment, your result does.
I wish all the clinical students the best in their exam.
Which of these examiners have you met?

Malaria is no longer unbeatable.
For the first time, ending it in our lifetime is within reach.
But here’s the reality we cannot ignore:
Malaria still kills over 600,000 people globally each year — most of them children.
This is why action cannot wait.
With new vaccines, stronger mosquito nets, and improved tools, we have what it takes to change the story.
Nigeria remains committed to protecting lives through prevention, early diagnosis, and strengthened healthcare delivery.
Because progress is fragile. When efforts slow, malaria
resurges.
Now We Can. Now We Must.
✔ Sleep under a treated mosquito net
✔ Test before taking malaria medication
✔ Protect children and pregnant women
✔ Keep your environment clean
Ending malaria starts with all of us.

A brave Hausa/Fulani man & Kannywood actor has spoken out strongly about the security crisis in Nigeria.
He said that if the Nigerian government is truly serious about ending terrorism & insecurity, then President @officialABAT & every state governor should send their own children to the battlefield. He specifically mentioned that Seyi Tinubu should be sent to the front lines to fight terrorists.
He also challenged the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, and the National Security Adviser, @NuhuRibadu , to personally lead the troops into the forests where terrorists are hiding.
The actor declared that he is ready to receive military training and join them in the fight to save Nigeria from insecurity.
He angrily criticized the government, saying that they keep sending the children of ordinary Nigerians to die in the forests every day, while many security officers face poor salaries & harsh conditions, despite risking their lives to protect the people.
His message was clear:
If the leaders truly care about ending terrorism, they must be ready to make the same sacrifices they expect from the children of the poor.

@officialABAT "to stand with the people of Plateau."
Mr Tinubu, did you take power to stand with victims of insecurity or secure the lives of Nigerians? The buck stops on your table, do your job!

Now, it is unjustifiable to arrest Nigerians for expressing their views or opinions about other countries, while at the same time allowing a foreigner to operate freely within our borders, publicly spreading hatred and attempting to incite violence. The relevant authorities should take immediate steps to caution Alex Babir and, if necessary, apprehend him, then send him back to his country in the interest of maintaining peace and order.

Alex Barbir is a secret agent roaming villages of Nigeria under the cover of being a missionary.
He’s on a mission to instigate religious war between Christians and Muslims.
Nigeria is faced with insecurity that has claimed lives, Christians and Muslims. But Alex has chosen to paint a picture that Muslims are killing Christians, when indeed these terrorists do not ask questions about religion before unleashing terror.
Enough is enough, Alex Barbir should be on the next flight home. He’s doing a lot behind the scene to fuel a religious war.
