🚨 URGENT FACILITY UPDATE: O'REILLY CENTER (DRURY UNIVERSITY) 🚨 We have an important update for all fans and programs attending today’s National Finals. To ensure we continue to be great guests at the O'Reilly Center, Drury University leadership has implemented a new policy regarding noisemakers, effective immediately. 🚫 THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE NOW BANNED FROM DRURY: NO Drums or Drumsticks NO Buckets NO Any items used to hit, beat, or drum on facility property. THE REASON: This decision was made by Drury University overnight following reports of abuse and damage to the facility seating. Our staff is now strictly enforcing this policy at all entrances to protect the venue that hosts our biggest games of the year. 📣 WHAT IS PERMITTED? Boom sticks are still allowed and encouraged! We want the noise and the energy, but we must protect the house. Appropriate signage is now posted at all Drury entrances. 🏀🎉 Celebrating an Unforgettable Nationals🎉🏀 A 5-Peat, a Repeat, a Packed DRURY, & 10 Different Undisputed Champions! What an incredible journey it has been at the NCHBC 2025 HomeSchool Basketball National FINALS! This year, we witnessed a remarkable 5 PEAT, a repeat of champions, and a packed Drury arena, showcasing over 408 teams and 1,010 thrilling games. We are excited to highlight this year’s standout moments and champions! 5- PEAT 🏆 Memphis MHEA Eagles made history by becoming the first team since the Olathe Warriors (1992-1997) to achieve a 5 PEAT in the Varsity Boys age group! In a nail-biting showdown, MHEA faced off against the Tennessee HEAT, with an astounding 8 lead changes in the first half. The Eagles sealed their victory with a go-ahead shot with just 2:31 left on the clock, earning their title as BACK-to-BACK-to-BACK-to-BACK-to-BACK National Champions! Caleb Thomas was also recognized as the 2025 Maravich Award Winner (National POY.) REPEAT 🏆 On the girls' side, the defending champion HEA Firebirds (Novi, MI) jumped to an early lead against CHSM Houston and maintained their advantage throughout the game. CHSM made history by reaching the G14u, G16u, and G18u National FINALS— a remarkable achievement! HEA's victory marks their BACK-to-BACK title win, making them the first to do so since the 2019 MHEA Eagles' incredible run. HomeSchool Superstar & Michigan State Commit Lilly Williams was also recognized as the 2025 Sullivan Award Winner, reserved for a returning Maravich Award Winner (National POY.) The 2025 Maravich Award Winner is still to be determined (see coaches All-American Vote info below.) This year also brought an exciting milestone with 10 different organizations claiming Undisputed Titles. States like Arkansas, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, and Texas saw their teams crowned champions.
