In a recent randomized control trial, Kasari and colleagues compared equal dosages of DTT and JASPER (an NDBI) with young autistic children with minimal to no vocal speech. While some gains differed, both approaches were effective. Check it out, here:

(1/2) Excited about our new paper calling for wider implementation of NDBIs in community settings, esp. by behavioral therapists. A huge proportion of autistic kids are served by behavioral therapists due to insurance mandates & the medical model of disability in the U.S.
