Just done rewatching "Hotel Rwanda" and it reminds me how 'expensive' war can be. Set to rewatch "Black Diamond." These movies mirror the peculiar African past, particularly of Rwanda and Sierra Leone in the 20th. C. Nothing seems to have changed if you consider the Sahel today.

@DeleFarotimi I agree with you because it is the foundation of the chaos in Nigeria

Dele Farotimi. A victim of Nigeria
Nigeria is not a zoo. You wouldn’t find a more incompetently ran zoo anywhere in the world. We would be lucky, if our rulers would run the country anywhere near as well, or humanely, as the average zoo in a sane country. It is a free range slave plantation #End1999Constitution

Just for clarity sake, ethnic bias aside, are there people who genuinely believe in this Buhari led administration? I would like to know their reasons. Please, educate me.

@AishaYesufu I have this rage in my heart and I pray the Lord to calm me down. Our leaders lack capacity to manage crisis and tension

Why hasn't his children been kidnapped since it is normal? Why hasn't he or his family members been kidnapped since it is normal? Why is it only normal when citizens are kidnapped? Why is it only normal when children of the poor are kidnapped? Pathetic rulers devoid of empathy

Abubakar was one of the Seven Airforce officers ambushed by bandits & killed along Kaduna Birnin Gwari road.No condolence visit by any elected or appointed Government official,no delegation sent,no message of condolence to his family. And he died defending us.

@ronaldnzimora This can only happen when you do not connect with the people you lead. It goes beyond hearing about poverty. The leader needs to visit, spend some time and chat with them. It is only through that that a leader would appreciate the pains of these people. You dont fund from afar.

As much as I am disgusted by our leaders, the bigger worry is the followership. Our values and mode of reasoning needs to be re examined because the replacement of these corrupt leaders must come from us. We don't want a case of replacing a dragon with a demon.

@waliualao You have said it all. There is no more room for incendiary rhetoric. It has not served us any purpose.

Folks, we are officially on our own. Time to look inward. We cannot match force with force because either way, we lose. Time to start awareness beginning from our rural areas. Let the youths begin to think and act as people ready to take over leadership. Leadership beckons on us

If the president is bedeviled by issues beyond his control, we should be informed about it. Frankly, 24 hours after this unfortunate crisis and we are yet to hear from our leader...I shudder. The Senate president should speak up since Osibanjo considers this a herculean task.

Frankly speaking, our leaders have created monsters who are molesting the city. Thugs, you call them...had you given equitable and qualitative education, this wouldn't be the nature of our protest. Only if you created conducive environment for economic growth, 'thugs' go reduce.
