Starlink in Venezuela used to be a full time workaround.
In my office I was paying around $150 a month because it was basically blocked, so we had to run the account through Colombia, pretend I lived in Bogotá, and stay on an expensive Roam style plan just to keep the internet alive.
Then Maduro got captured.
And almost immediately, Starlink pricing and access flipped.
People are now activating Residential service in Venezuela at about $35 a month with a local offering, no more crazy country hopping just to get online.
Same dish. Same country.
Completely different reality.
If you ever want to understand how fast “normal life” can change in Venezuela, look at something as simple as an internet bill.
