@dreamkid83 Record labels only encourage marketable sounds that are already selling. A lot of them have no actual skill in marketing unique vocals or presenting real talent. They just want the candy that already sells. It’s so unbelievably boring. You’re unique and soulful. Keep on that 💜

@dreamkid83 I believe in you. And there’s one thing for sure, to sing in your own voice takes levels of bravery that are simply unheard of to a lot of these retro singers that are simply impersonating a style that’s already popular. Boring. I can’t even tell half of them apart to be honest.

From people telling me not to sing, to my own insecurities about the sound of my voice, to record labels saying that I shouldn’t sing, to now going viral on a video where I sing and people are absolutely loving it. I will still listen to others but at the end of the day I will always listen to my gut first, when I trust my heart things work out, when I don’t, it flops. Do you, if you believe in yourself then carry on. I am redeemed.
