Juan Pablo Montoya has suggested to add 7-8 penalty points to Max's superlicense for criticising the regulations "I’m okay with you not liking the regulations, but the way you are speaking about what you’re living off and your own sport, there should be consequences." [@BBCSport]

Thanks to Max Verstappen, the Nürburgring 24 Hours has attracted so much interest that its 150-entry limit has been reached, leaving some teams without a place on the grid. Max is generating significantly increased interest in Germany's biggest motorsport event. Organizer ADAC Nordrhein confirmed that, for the first time since 2020, all 150 starting slots will be filled, with additional teams placed on a waiting list. Now you understand why the Nürburgring staff adjusted the calendar specifically for Max.

Great answer from Lando Norris on Max Verstappen possibly leaving F1: “Do I enjoy racing against him? Yes & no at times but just cause he’s I think one of the best you’ll ever see in Formula 1. He’s a tough fighter. He makes your life incredibly hard sometimes but that’s a good thing, right? I think everyone wants Max in Formula 1.” “ … I want to stay racing against him for as long as possible cause you always want to try & prove yourself against the best & he is that.” “He can do whatever he wants. He’s earned the right to do that. He doesn’t have to do anything but even I enjoyed watching him in GTs the other day. He’s earned the right to go & do whatever he wants.”

Breaking News🇬🇧: "UK energy prices is SEVEN times more expensive than China and FOUR times more than America, how can we compete on a world stage at these prices? We are floating on a North Sea full of oil and gas...madness. We are told that it's a declining basin but the Norwegians are drilling like Billyo". From the once prosperous city of Aberdeen Scotland, Reform Scotland Leader Malcolm Offord torches the lunacy of the 'net-zero' zealots from the SNP, Labour, Greens, Libs and Tories for destroying Scotland and the UK's energy infrastructure. @reformparty_uk @TiceRichard @Malcolm_Offord

@emzerielo @R3N_19 37 years of avidly watching F1 & making every effort to like and engage with this AI / battery F1 racing, I’m struggling to understand some of the strange ‘AI controlled’ aspects of the racing, as not always clear what is happening or why… Slowly losing interest as a bit boring

@Planet_F1 I’m a huge Max fan BUT I actually agree with Martin I don’t want to hear about retirement from him whether he’s answering a question he’s asked or not It’s beginning to sound a bit ‘off’ Just get on with F1 and come end of season if you’ve had enough and want to quit then ok…

@ThisIsFormu1a1 I hope @SkySportsF1 and their various presenters and pundits (with 2 or so exceptions) especially Ted Kravitz do NOT associate themselves with the above post / movement as they have been since Abu Dhabi 2021 the most disrespectful anti-Max media organisation known to man!!

🚨BREAKING | F1 journalists release statement after Max Verstappen ban: — F1 journalists have urged the FIA to "open dialogue" with teams and media following a perceived "deterioration" in relations during the Japanese Grand Prix weekend. This call comes after Max Verstappen banned a journalist from his pre-race press conference at Suzuka. — Verstappen interrupted the session, ordering Guardian F1 correspondent Giles Richards to leave, citing Richards' demeanor in a previous press conference as the reason. Richards has since faced severe online abuse, with other journalists defending him also receiving backlash. — The F1 Media Advisory Council, consisting of senior F1 journalists, has engaged in discussions with the FIA about the incident. The FIA is expected to address the issue with Red Bull. — The Italian Automotive Journalists Association (UIGA) expressed "deep concern" over the events at Suzuka, stating: “Verbal abuse and a climate of hostility directed at journalists and photographers are unacceptable and break down the fundamental principles of professional respect and press freedom.” “The testimonies of those present challenge some of the widespread narratives, which risk damaging the professional reputation of media workers.” “At the same time, tensions between drivers and photographers risk leading to increasingly restrictive measures that disproportionately affect the work of the press.” “Mutual respect is essential, but it must not limit the media's right to report freely and independently.” “UIGA, therefore, calls on the FIA to open a dialogue with all parties involved - from media representatives to teams - to prevent any further deterioration in working conditions and access to information.” “A free, respected and protected press is not an ancillary matter, but a fundamental pillar of transparency and credibility in all sports, including Formula 1.” #maxverstappen 🇳🇱 VIA: [RacingNews365]

The thing about Max Verstappen is that he tends to mirror the energy people bring to him. When he’s treated with respect, whether it’s by other drivers, teams, or the media, he usually responds in kind, coming across as composed, fair, and even easygoing. But when that respect isn’t there, or when he feels challenged or wronged, his attitude shifts just as quickly. He becomes sharper, more blunt, and far less willing to hold back. It’s not really about him being difficult for no reason, it’s more that he operates on a very direct, no-nonsense level. He gives back exactly what he feels he’s receiving. So in a way, how you experience him often says as much about the approach toward him as it does about his personality.
