𝑵𝑬𝑬𝑭 𝑰𝑵𝑻𝑹𝑶𝑫𝑼𝑪𝑬𝑺 𝒁𝑶𝑵𝑬𝑺 𝑭𝑶𝑹 𝑬𝑵𝑯𝑨𝑵𝑪𝑬𝑫 𝑺𝑬𝑹𝑽𝑰𝑪𝑬 𝑫𝑬𝑳𝑰𝑽𝑬𝑹𝒀 A major institution restructuring is set to take effect on April 1, 2025, following a functional review. This will see NEEF Ltd shift from a region to a zone management system.

NEEF participated in a stakeholders meeting convened by Ministry of Agriculture, where Hon.Minister Sam Kawale, highlighted that the meeting was an ongoing agricultural productivity reforms, to shifting Malawi from a subsistence farming to a commercialized agricultural sector.

Phiri and his friends initially received a MK5 Million NEEF Farm Input loan. This year, he received 20 bags of fertilizer to assist with his farming activities. He planted 6 acres of maize and 2 acres of tobacco, anticipating at least 240 bags of maize and 30 bales of tobacco.

Msowoya, a farmer from T/A Mpherembe, is a second-time borrower of NEEF Farm Input loans. She first accessed a MK10 Million loan which she successfully repaid. Currently, she has invested her 2nd loan worth MK20 Million into her 49 hectares of Maize and tobacco farm. #NEEFloans

Hon. Moses Kunkuyu urged farmers to take full advantage of the fertilizer loans provided by National Economic Empowerment Fund (NEEF) stating, “This is a game changer for agriculture. It’s more than just fertilizer; it is a stepping stone to profitability and sustainability.”
