@JayRassee @jonsopel Apart from all of his lies, his own contradictions and the complete nonsense he spouts! Plus if some of this stuff is coming from his heart then his heart is truly a very dark disturbed place!

@jonsopel Well you gotta say he is real, honest. Nothing about him that is fake. He says what's in his heart. Rest us have been so conditioned to hide our true feelings. Not the Don. The Trumpster is authentic. Sometimes that can be raw.

How much of Britain's electricity is coming from 'wind power' right now? 5%. 1/20th. Will it Save the Country? Lead us to the glorious lands of green energy paradise? Will it heck!

@BenGrahamUK @TiceRichard You might need to provide a bit more detail. When will the lights go off if we don't scrap renewables? What's your plan for how much oil production & oil & nuclear generation, by when, costing how much?

@TiceRichard Renewables should be scrapped before the lights go off. All in on North Sea oil & nuclear is the only path forward.

@jimturner71 @Feargal_Sharkey It's a must consider. But LPAs can grant permission with developers' obligations to build infrastructure. Water companies can advise no but then are mandated to provide a supply etc. Statutory is do no harm to water quality etc. But look at how this is all going!! 🤦‍♂️🤷

@Feargal_Sharkey I thought planning permission can’t be given unless services are available…. How about sewage disposal?

"South East Water says it can supply water to only a third of all new homes planned for Tonbridge and Malling." Remember that story about 25 million people kin the south and south east of England running out of water? It has begun. 👇👇👇 kentonline.co.uk/malling/news/w…

@AndrewDyke11 @Feargal_Sharkey That said, new regs are in motion but delayed! Plus it seems the S106 are being ditched by developers. The whole process needs strengthening. If a doubt exists don't grant permission!

@AndrewDyke11 @Feargal_Sharkey The legislation exists stating that water and sewage must be considered but the LPA can provide consent with conditions that the developer helps implement infrastructure, water companies are then obliged to supply services. Threats to water quality etc should stop it.

@profitwpurpose @Feargal_Sharkey @TheEconomist The irony of it is that our open grid drain & soakaway takes water off the road, so whilst we were trying to avoid adding to drainage issues, for our road, the net effect is more water draining from the road into our soakaway! That may have been poor design by drive team? 🤷

@profitwpurpose @Feargal_Sharkey @TheEconomist Fully agree, amount of surface runoff & rainwater from buildings & drives etc poorly managed. Rainwater harvesting should be the norm for flushing toilets & outside taps. We had a soakaway installed from the water trap at the end of our drive plus a permeable paved drive!

@MhehedZherting @colinwalker79 I accepted your point, no deflection. Then moved the debate back into the real world energy supply chains. A deflection tends to be a simplistic ignoring of something & then not engaging with a point made or raised. Feel free to engage in a real world energy supply chain debate.

@MhehedZherting @colinwalker79 Sure if you are simply arguing the efficiency of a single component of an energy supply chain against another single component. But it's just that, a simplistic single point argument that is of interest but not a full source to toaster chain discussion mirroring real world supply

@NeedMoreCourage @colinwalker79 Strange response, since the argument being countered was operational efficiency: “We always get back less than we put in. You think batteries are bad, wait until you hear about petrol engines and gas boilers" Abundancy is irrelevant.

@MhehedZherting @colinwalker79 Strange argument when the wind and solar are abundantly available a lot of the time. In either model you build infrastructure, means of extraction, plant etc. But the means of extraction & generation for wind & solar is just the panel or turbine. For FF it is more complex.

@nick_advice @industrialpc @colinwalker79 You seem to be confusing deindustrialisation due to policy & offshoring cheaper production with net zero. UK pursued a very service sector-centric policy for 30 years plus starting with Thatcher. There were failings in UK industries prior to that. Crazy to focus on net zero as it

You are what I just described in another post as a useful idiot. Entire industries laid waste in the EU and UK over NetZero and Energiewende. Walking back the nuclear shutdown, industries begging for relief for badly conceived “solutions”with Soviet Union level 5 year plans that can’t be met. Citizens unable to afford the cost of electricity to simply live their lives. If it’s so great, why are so many people and industries in terrible situations over energy costs. You have been sold an expensive unworkable solution to a made up problem to allow people who despise you to have control over your lives. Bad choices, buddy. Bad choices.

@mikejharper @tomhfh @Ed_Miliband @grok uptime figures for the last 10 years please for the UK's 9 reactors. Plus the total percentage of uptime for all 9 reactors for the 10 years. Everyone assumes that nuclear is a magical 100% power source!

@watt_direction @renewablesmiffy @tomhfh @Ed_Miliband @grok lots of detail and in depth please to answer the following: Put this into context with the uptime figures for the last 10 years. Is 2025 typical or atypical? Without statistics the comment in isolation is almost meaningless. Also provide a rolling 3 year average.

@jamzefish @tomhfh @Ed_Miliband Plus the agreed extensions for 8 of the reactors at 4 sites are all relatively short to medium term anyway. Much shorter timeframes than building any additional nuclear capacity. I guess we'll be giving a small fortune to EDF to extend further?!? 🤷

@CherifS @business Allegedly Saudis are reducing their investment commitment into the USA. So not sure that the USA gets all the benefits it anticipates from this. Trump is a pawn in Israel's game of fairly simple chess, simple in terms of planned outcome but complex in terms of real outcomes!

@business Trump & Netanyahu knew that those Arab countries closest to Iran with USA bases would be targets, thats what Trump & Netanyahu wanted, to make it an Arab on Arab conflict. Those Arab states who Trump begged for billions in investments should sue Trump for putting them at risk.🤷
