🇬🇭 There’s so much to like about Caleb Yirenki. Despite being so young he has already played in a number of different roles (RB, RWB, CDM, CM) at club and international level. He’s a very technically secure player on the ball. Constantly scanning when his team are in possession. His head moves like an owl at times. It is something that I really like. His scanning allows him to receive the ball under pressure and rarely lose the ball. He makes really quick and smart decisions to beat the press. 93% pass completion at Norsdjaelland is impressive. He’s not playing it safe either. Constantly playing it forward and breaking lines. I think sometimes he can definitely improve his ball carrying. For me he’s better in a deeper role. Out of possession, he reads the game well. Covers so much distance on the pitch. He’s very good at winning the ball back in the opposition’s half (4.5 per 90 minutes) and has won the most balls in the opposition’s final third (22) out of midfielders in the Danish Superliga this season. His versatility, intensity and ability on the ball makes him the perfect profile for any side in Europe’s top five leagues.
