This is about academic freedom vs institutional pressure. If law students… the future of the judiciary are discouraged from questioning the system, then who exactly is allowed to question it? Criticism of institutions ≠ disrespect. Silencing criticism = weakening democracy.

Ranveer Singh and the Kantara controversy Ranveer has decided to settle the matter peacefully. He plans to submit a formal written apology (an affidavit) to the Karnataka High Court on April 10, 2026.
