Internet culture and the depraved:
For a funny little cohort of men and tgirls, I think I've found an identity addiction.
When you're lost, you try to figure out an explanation for why you're unhappy. For some, it can be simple - the red pill, black pill, incel communities. For others, it takes a different look.
Some of the most famous terms for this are:
Paypig
Porn addict
Doomer
Gooner
Failed tgirl
Incel
All terms removes any real onus from the person. It gives you the ability to adopt the standards of the people who fall into that term.
Example:
"I am a paypig, so I can act like a paypig."
Once this identity is latched onto, there is then the romanticization of the identity.
Much like in techno-domme there is the romanticization of surrendering your device, the same idea is applied here.
The surrender is comforting.
If you're an incel, the inevitability is comforting.
If you're BNWO, the white women getting put out is comforting because it's inevitable and removes agency from the person.
Next, once you've found your label and romanticized it, you turn yourself into the porn.
Your life, having this inevitable outlook, becomes the porn.
Every relapse is inevitable. Hence, it's porn.
The porn on your Twitter feed is inevitable, so it's normal. And this being your normal becomes porn. So you jerk off to your life and the perceived inevitable place you've ended up in.
Next, when you've pushed yourself so far, chances are that at this point you're isolated, and this insane narrative you've built for the reason you're lonely is all you have.
So you avoid recovery.
How could you turn Twitter off if your whole identity is on there?
How could you delete Discord for real friends?
How could you stop engaging with incel content?
It's all you have.
And given your life is now so intertwined with this identity, how could you trade it all just to go back to normal?
Just a regular life.
No narrative.
No corruption arc.
Just ordinary.
Devoid of the noise of the communities you've found yourself in.
Just a responsible adult.
Anyway, just some thoughts on internet culture and findom that I've been thinking about.
