Value-based procurement can be an important enabler to improve patient outcomes, reduce health system costs and improve innovation adoption. Lots of insights being shared on this topic today at Canada's Medtech Conference. #MedtechCanada2023

@Bell_LetsTalk⁩ Let’s make change together. I have found this has helped me to act in a more supportive way and open up the conversation and reduce stigma.

"We learned that minimally invasive procedures made gains during the pandemic because they allow patients to be treated quicker, there’s greater access available & in many cases, less infection, blood loss & a short hospital stay." - @NeilD_Fraser, @MedtronicCA #FutureOfCAN

@trclosson This is a classic example of ‘provider-centric’ versus ‘patient centric’ primary care services.

All primary care doctors should be working in teams so that they can always be reasonably accessible.

@trclosson @drbobbell @TorontoStar Why are family doctors office hours not extended . It’s impossible to get hold of anyone and it is 8-4; no evening or weekend hours. You are then given an appt 3 weeks down the road . This is forcing people to go to EDs .
