@gingerminion99 @RobinNestBCFC You think so? I think Lumley number 1 and Vitek back up. Just sounds much more sensible than the gamble we took last year! Which by the way may have cost us, nobody knows how bad Max’s ankle was towards end of the season. Were the team having to protect him??

Grassroots anonymous confession I’m honestly feeling really disheartened. My son’s team have entered a number of tournaments this summer, and for every single one the coach brought in players from other teams. No problem if we didn't have enough players, but every occasion we had more than enough and what’s worse — the guest players were always picked to play ahead of the kids who actually train with the team, including my son, even though they have no intention of signing for us as we're a low level team. It’s been hard watching my child give their all week in, week out, only to be sidelined when it matters most. Is this just how things go in grassroots football now? Or is it just our team? Either way, it doesn’t feel right.
