Are you “fossil-skilling” your students by teaching them stuff that #AI is making obsolete? See this short opinion piece “Artificial Intelligence and Fossil-Skilling in Surgical Education” #MedEd" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">laurinpublishers.com/Journals/SSROJ… #HPE

@NotebookLM is awesome but it could be even better: 1) ability organize studio artifacts in folders 2) same with sources 3) all those with view access to also use studio but only they can see the artifacts

Was testing out how good Gemini 3 pro, GPT5.1, Opus 4.5 was at crafting Boolean for systematic review in pubmed & asking to compare & I suddenly realised because Claude has access to Pubmed MCP it actually uses that to TEST and evaluate search strings just like humans! (1)

@WAleyadeh True - there is significant risk of cognitive deskilling. One of the 8 proposed specialization pathways is to for AI for medical education - virtual socratic tutors can for example enhance learning, AI can help us with precision medical education bit.ly/VirtualSocrati…

I think the most difficult aspects of this will be to ensure that we are still developing curious individuals with critical thinking skills, which has already been shown to be affected by AI in medical students unfortunately.

We must not repeat the mistake of past tech adoptions (looking at you, EHRs 👀). When tech is done to clinicians rather than with them, it results in lost opportunities and frustrated providers. Physicians must take vocal leadership roles in AI integration. #MedEd #AIinMedicine

The future of AI-integrated healthcare will be shaped by those who take the initiative. Medical educators must guide and train students to lead this transformation now. pmejournal.org/articles/2233/…

These pathways are crucial to ensuring AI is built on sound clinical data, validated for safety and equity, and designed to augment clinicians—freeing them to focus on empathy, judgment, and the therapeutic relationship.

TL;DR: 1. modRNA flu shot = No egg mutations. 2. Faster manufacturing = Can wait later to pick the best strain match. 3. Better antibodies & T-cells against Flu A. Science moves fast. This is a big step toward ending the "hit-or-miss" era of flu shots. 🏁

The trial showed the mRNA shot was weaker against Influenza B than traditional shots. Which needs to be explored Still, getting closer to solving the H3N2 puzzle is a massive public health win.

Just out in NEJM: Phase 3 data on the new modRNA flu vaccine. 🧪💉 The headline? It showed superior efficacy against Influenza A compared to standard egg-based shots. Why does this matter for the emerging "K Clade" flu season? Let’s break down the science. 🧵👇
