Was testing out how good Gemini 3 pro, GPT5.1, Opus 4.5 was at crafting Boolean for systematic review in pubmed & asking to compare & I suddenly realised because Claude has access to Pubmed MCP it actually uses that to TEST and evaluate search strings just like humans! (1)

I think the most difficult aspects of this will be to ensure that we are still developing curious individuals with critical thinking skills, which has already been shown to be affected by AI in medical students unfortunately.

These pathways are crucial to ensuring AI is built on sound clinical data, validated for safety and equity, and designed to augment clinicians—freeing them to focus on empathy, judgment, and the therapeutic relationship.

We must not repeat the mistake of past tech adoptions (looking at you, EHRs 👀). When tech is done to clinicians rather than with them, it results in lost opportunities and frustrated providers. Physicians must take vocal leadership roles in AI integration. #MedEd #AIinMedicine
