The official NELFUND Daily Status Report generated on 28th May, 2026 clearly shows that:
✅ ₦98,291,592,000.00 has already been paid as Upkeep Allowances to students across Nigeria.
✅ Over 1.5 million students have benefited from the loan scheme.
✅ Applications are still increasing daily, proving that the scheme is still active and operational.
This is not the behavior of a suspended program.
The Federal Government and NELFUND remain committed to supporting Nigerian students through:
Tuition fee disbursement
Monthly upkeep support
Access to higher education regardless of financial background
Some individuals are spreading panic and misinformation simply to discourage students from applying or benefiting from the scheme. Do not fall for it.
