• @max_cane2000 has 4 goals in his last 4 league games
• Colne manager Andy Harrison has lost all 3 games that he’s managed against Nelson
• Colne have only won 1 of their last 8 league games (W1, D4, L3)
• Nelson last beat Colne in the league back in 2009
• Nelson have already beaten Colne twice this season at Holt House
• Nelson’s unbeaten run in the league now stretches to 8 games (W6, D2)
• Nelson have only won 1 of their last 6 games at Little Wembley in all competitions
It’s over 10 yrs since @Nelsonfc1 last hosted @Colne_FC and what an important derby it’s going to be tomorrow. Nelson need to keep their unbeaten run going at the top of the league whereas Colne are looking over their shoulders above the relegation zone. It’s sure to be a cracker
4-1 - a perfect night really barring losing the clean sheet at the end. Obviously the early red card helped but missed some chances before that and were fairly comfortable all game. The game management was much better from the lads, can be difficult at times to play against 10.
• Nelson have found themselves 2-0 down in their last 3 league fixtures, but have gone on to win 2 and draw 1
• Nelson’s away league form is pretty good, only losing 1 of their last 12 (Droylsden), W9, D2
• Fulwood have only lost 2 games at home this season out of 17
@Nelsonfc1 travel to @Fulwoodams tonight for a chance to go back to the top of the table. Fulwood still have an outside chance of the play-offs so it’s going to be another difficult game. This will be the 4th time the sides have faced this season with a win a piece and a draw.
We had a return to the club last night for forward Joel Phelps, who also scored his first goal for Nelson having come off the bench.
He only played in one game for @Nelsonfc1 in his first spell which was in @ArronRipley’s managerial debut in a 3-2 defeat to AFC Blackpool.
@Chris_Horner1 They never do extend it, remember Bacup being in a similar position a few years ago. @nwcfl have got their scheduling wrong again I’m afraid. Last season went weeks without playing to the points where friendlies had to be arranged and killed momentum.
@NelsonFCstats Great point overall, especially being 2-0 down. Must be hard for the players having to keep playing 4 games a week, ridiculous that the season hasn't been extended by another week to facilitate the fixture congestion.
FT 2-2
Had chances at the end to win it but some great blocks from the Ashton rearguard. Crazy 5 minute spell after half time cost the game in the end which keeps happening. Fair play to the lads for the spirit shown but can’t come back from 2 goals down every game. Have to look
